ZC doesn't want to start... if i start it, a message appears: "initalizing allegro................. ", then nothing happens. a week ago it worked perfect, but without sound (i think allegro is something with sound). now it doesn't work and the quest, too.
can somebody help? i have the new version 1.90, win98 and a "soundmax integrated digital audio" sound-card (because of my sound problems...)

ps.: i'm sorry for my english, i'm from germany

Try 1.92 beta 182. 1.90 is archaic.

The download link can be found at the top of this forum.

The Quest designer Build 182 and Player Build 183 should do. Find the Build 183 player at various places.

hey, maybe you didn't fix up the sound and midi drivers! i had to do that to before i got sound

PS: auto detect usually dose'nt work!

Auto-Detect is good for locating your MIDI driver at first and seeing what's compatible with it. For your second problem, Build 182 does that a lot with VSync on, get the Build 183 player. You may need to configure your mouse for the last one. You can't run ZC with Sound or a mouse in Pure DOS either, unless you have DOS Mouse and sound drivers.
