Other than no sound the game seems to run well. I am using the onboard sound on a Soyo Dragon+. Any help would be great. I would have done a search in the forums but keep getting a "search is disabled" message.

Thanks

PS I downloard the latest build(beta) because I thought that might help.......it didn't.

What OS are you using, and which version of ZC, the windows or DOS?

Go into ZQuest, play a Midi, doesn't matter what it is as long as it's a Midi, and exit. That might help.

downloaded a midi and tried to play it in zquest. Still heard nothing.

Did you go to your volume control to check if Midi is at minimum? You could increase the volume then you can hear the sound. That was what happened when I first started playing ZQuest.

You may also need to run tha AGsetup.exe and put the proper drive combo in.

it gives you several choices under digital driver and midi driver, one should work.

AGSetup.exe is no longer included with the installation, Freedom. Generally speaking, it's not needed.

Check your volume levels, Me. If that doesn't work, make sure that you have the windows version of zc.

I also run win xp and had to try out a load of different settings in order to get zc to work so dont give up , it can be done.

Go check out the thread: the sound of silence , can I change it? Its the help thread that people helped me at, its at the last page (p 5 ) of zc discussion. I hope it will help you.

Teilyr,

I needed it to get my sound to work.

Build 182 removes the need to use the AGP setup. The sound will automatically be configured when you run the 182/183 player.

so then when it doesn't, like it didn't with mine, how do you set the drivers?
I used the AGsetup.exe to go in and manually set the drivers to work with my system.
before I did that I couldn't play quests without it locking my soundcard up.
