I don't have a regular play group, but when I'm around a group of nerds (:p) I enjoy playing.

I play several. They're fun. I'm also making one, but it's not ready yet.

They're better than any other kind of game. I pity the foo who chooses consoles over PNP RPGs.

as do I.
I play AD&D 2nd edition, though I've been looking into WoT, if the price drops I'll get the book. if not I'll download it from KaZaA and print out the class descriptions and use those in place of the D&D 3rd edition classes.

Eh, I played AD&D 2nd ed., have since switched over to D&D 3rd. I also spend time with the Dark Matter Alternity setting, Warhammer, and the Guardians of Order anime-based RPG system.

EDIT: Oh, and I spend a lot of my time these days converting 2nd edition's PlaneScape setting to 3rd edition. The PlaneScape setting kicks ass.

It's been awhile since I've paid attention to D&D, but isn't WotC making a Planescape setting for 3rd ed.?

I've always wanted to play a pen and paper RPG, but I don't know how it works...... Plus the books look expensive and it's no fun by yourself from what I've heard. I've seen my friends play D&D with playing pieces on a board and stuff and it looked pretty cool. I think I'd rather play those other RPG book things, like once I saw Sailor Moon!!!! :D hehe

I play D&D, though I have also tried a few other RPGs, though D&D is the only one where a good DM is available. If the DM sucks, so will the campaign. Amazingly though, the first time I played was with a crappy DM.

Yeah, most DMs don't balance role-playing and combat well enough.
