I need to know were i can get a version of zelda that works i downloaded v1.92 and still get an erorr when i try to save the same one ntdvm.exe can some one please help.i need to know were to get the file and how to install ive tried it myself and maybe iam doing something wrong please help

Perhaps telling us what version you're using, what OS you're using, and what error you get when you try to save would be helpful.

Iam using windows xp pro with a nviada tnt2 m64 256mb ram the erorr iam getting is ntvdm.exe when i try to save or bring down top menu using escape please let me know if you need more info sorry i forgot to add this with the original link

not sure realy the ver is 1.90 running under windows in a dos shell does this help?

1.90 is dos. XP doesn't do dos very well.
I asked you to download the windows version 1.92 beta 182 in the previous thread. Did you not do it?

yes and when i unzipped to the folder c:\zcbeta and tried clicking on the exe it came back with the following erorr zelda-w.exe has encounterd a problem and needs to close checked the erorr data and alleg41 dll was the mode name the appname was zelda-w.exe so i dont know whats wrong.

God.
If there's one thing I hate more in this world than WinXP, it's WinXP's wimpy ass error messages.
Anyway, make sure that you have alleg41.dll. If you don't, it's for download in that topic.
Once you have it, open Zquest, look to the right, and click on ETC. Scroll down that menu, then click on Lost Woods. When you hear the midi playing, click on file, then exit ZQuest.
What this does is create a file called ag.cfg, which makes ZC work.

I got that same error the first time. I just ran zquest-w.exe again, and everything worked perfectly fine. The main download comes with alleg41.dll in it already.
