I have just found out how to make sand zoras. Many people have probably already figured this out, but i thought i might share this with everyone. To make a sand zora all you have to do is use any empty tile slot and put a sand tile in it and set the combo type as water. make the sand walkable and the flippers won't affect anything.

Hey, that's pretty nifty.

I never thought to do that. Thanks. :)

I did that but it was with deku shrubs. You change the zora sprite to deku. Only have one walkable water combo and put it as a deku flower.

Or change the leever sprites to zoras.

Hmm...interesting. But does this really work? I thought water tiles couldn't be gotten onto without the flippers.

You don't check the tiles as a solid. Just keep them walkable.

Neat. I might use that in a quest sometime...but who knows.

Ditto. I'm sure this can be used... oh! There we go. :D In SD, the Leevers were replaced by Zolas, and we can finally have Zolas walking on land! This would be great in a natural desert.

But wait. What happens when Link gets the flippers! Will this still work!

Answer: Is it...

A) Screw the Flippers.
B) Bitch at DN and FCF to implement Water you cannot enter.
C) Force DN and FCF to make Sand Zora enemies
D) It still works

...?

Methinks BH4 doesn't read the posts fully. So, I'll make it nice and big for ya.

Make the sand walkable and the flippers won't affect anything.

Oh, just found this out. Don't use the tiles at the edges of the screen. This is because if you have the flippers when you walk on a screen that has them at the edges link will look like he is rapidly going in and out of water.

This idea has had a home in Sabotage Dragoon for awhile now, and it has extra problems. It isn't just the edge of the screen that causes the "rapidly-in-and-out-of-water" problem. It also happens anytime Link walks at particular orientations to the walkable water tiles. Not quite sure when, but certainly not just at the edges. Solution? Dont give link the flippers. Or explain to the player that the sand makes Link "trip" now and then.

/me nods.

For those that want to whine about the fact they need the flippers in their quests, keep this in mind. You can use sand Zora's in a place that you go to before you get the flippers. Then, find a way to block off the sand zora area after they get them.

As for the sand tripping... I think your explaination works fine, C. Walking in sand makes people studder step once in awhile.

Eh, I probably won't use them anyhow.

Interesting..

plith had the walkable tiles in FFKR water, so the flippers could be an airship, but that's not really related to this, but it sort of is..;p

Well the only problems i have found is the rapid in an dout of water that happens only at the edges. What are the other problems are you talking about C-Dawg. Oh and don't think i got this trick from that website. As i said in my first post many people may have figured it out.
