Do you play ZC with the keyboard or a gamepad?

Just curious about how many of you zc players out are only playing zc with the keyboard, like me and how many of you have/ prefer a joystick, gamepad?

I made a topic like this way back in the day. :) I used to use a keyboard because my last computer didn't have a MIDI port. I have one now, so I'm using my old sidewinder again. I can play just as well both ways, but I like to sit back and play rather than use my keyboard.

I like to use a gamepad too, but with the gamepad not recognizing the inactivity of the screen saver, I just decided to use my keyboard.:)

Every computer game i ever play involves motion w/ my right hand and attack with my left. Every console game i've ever played has been the other way.

In that category of every computer game, ZC Link uses the keyboard, whereas console link uses the pad.

Keyboard. The only time I've ever used a non-keyboard/mouse, was when I've played the Wing Commander series on the PC. Now that, deserved a Joystick. ZC, maybe not. Who knows.

someone acctually said something like that to me and thats why I included it in the poll for finding what you "pros " have to say about it. It wasnt really mean to be a joke but whatever you say works for me : )

I play with the keyboard. Never could get ZC to recognize my gamepad (USB).

I wouldn't say it depends on the quest, rather what's in the quest. See, I have a Gravis Gamepad Pro that's basicly a PS style controler. The only problem is the D-pad is a little too sloppy, so sometimes it will register a diagonal and send me in the wrong direction.

If I want to just kick back and play, I'll use my Gamepad. When I need to get serious, I'll switch over to the keyboard. So I use both.

Thunderbird, my contoler is USB and it works. :shrug:

I would use my gamepad if it worked, but it somehow screwed itself, so I'm using my gamepad. Of course, I have beaten Zelda 1 (first and second quest) and Zelda 2 with my keyboard, so I think I am good. Except for the Windrobe room in NerdWarrior's All-Stars quest.
