Tomorrow I have a 10 page paper due in my English class about globalization, and being the person I am, I decided to base mine on online computer/video games. How often do you find yourself playing online games with people from different countries?

I haven't really, but I must say, owning some one in Mexico at some game would be cool...even loseing to them. It would be silly tho if I couldnt understand them. But in games like RuneScape I've played people in the UK, which wasnt that different.

I've played a lot of international people in Diablo. It's fun because I speak spanish so we are able to communicate and conspire against the monolingual people. hehe:darkmage:

in counter-strike i often join servers that are french or german. sometimes they're faster than the US servers O_o

Yeah, actually I do. I'm surprised how many people from other countries are on AGN alone. It's hard now to tell if ESL for some people because they type it so well.

I've played some muds now and then, and have met plenty of players from other countries (although obviously they tended to be anglophone countries.)
I've also played Starcraft against some French, German, and even Russian players.

Ive played other people like maybe twice..... To tell you the truth i dont think i even ask or check where theyre from before i play... :shrug:

Havent touched a computer game in just under a year...

Only ones I've tried are Diablo 2, PSO, and Q3A (Dreamcast), but I never asked where everyone came from.

My German is pretty good, if I don't use special words, like Uranium erforschen (to research Uranium) for Starcraft etc. I looked that up btw.
