I liked FFV's overworld music. It's battle music was really cool too. Of all of the FF's I've played, they stood out the most for me.

FF VII was pretty good. I'd say X, but it didnt really have an overworld.

I liked 3(j)'s overworld music, and 9 isn't that all that bad either. I don't like 7's because it becomes the crapassed Meteor music waaaaaaaaay too soon, and it just doesn't sound good at all. 11 is also has great overworld music, reminds me of some Indian Tribal music or something.

I agree that the Meteor music comes way too soon. I just wish it would have that music for like...a little while or something and go back to the original after awhile...

Lol. 7's was really good, and Symphonic.

5's second overworld music was awesome, as was 6's second.

9's was kind of different, but still good. Nobuo is a genius

Six fantastic melodies from FF6:
(1) The overworld.
(2) Terra's theme.
(3) Celes' theme.
(4) Opera Aria.
(5) Rachel's theme.
(6) Relm's theme.

6, imo, although I like pretty much all FF music, even from the ones I hated.

In my opinion FF6 has the best music in any game ever! So the answer was 6 :)

I haven't played 4 yet, but I have heard a MIDI of the overworld music, and I like it best.

Interestingly, I find the overworld theme from the first Final Fantasy to be my favorite. Somehow it doesn't start to annoy me as much as the others do. After that though, Final Fantasy IV's my favorite.

Evidently you never tried to finish the game with a white mage party... the transition from battle to overworld kills me...

I like FF VI. The after you get the second airship the song played is great. I think its called searching for Freinds from the soundtrack.

I agree about the music, but 4 was the SECOND best of the FF's. The first being 7. It had the best story, characters (except for Yuffie) and villian.
