Check out the Elvish in my sig.

Tengwar are the consonant symbols for the elvish alphabet in The Lord of the Rings world. The vowels are called Tehtar, and they go up above (and sometimes below) the Tengwar.

If you want to know how to write with Tengwar, this site is very handy.

One thing to note, the keys that the elvish letters are associated with on the keyboard do not match the actual letters. You need to use the pdf files that come with the fonts. One is all you could ever need to know about the language and it's different uses. The other is the keyboard map layout.

Use one of the English charts for writing english words in Tengwar

You use the chart for Quenya if you are writing Elvish words

Leet. I didn't know that info. Is there a Tengwar and Tehtar font out there in the computerized world somewhere?

Hmm. No offense, but I believe I'll file away "Writing in Elvish" under "Things to do if I gain too much free time."

None taken. I ran across this a while ago, and my boss wanted me to print it out so she could get a tattoo. I just thought you guys might think it's neat.

I like, Verde. I remember when your mom printed out my name and a poem in Elvish for me, and ever since then, I've wanted to be able to write it. *jealous* :)
