trouble starting the hidden duality

hey all.. i seem to be having a little trouble getting started in the hidden duality. every time i start a new char, i start out with 0 hearts and die before i can even move.. this is no good. lol. any help would be gratefully accepted :)

What beta are you using it in? It's preferable to have at least 183 (or any beta beyond 104)when loading it.:)

Actually, Hidden Duality requires build 183. That was the reason the player for 183 was released to begin with.

Agreed on what Geepster said. Check out the 300+ reply thread to find links to the 183 player. The support files needed are the SAME ones you got from the public 182 version. No changes there.

183 was for bug fixes, it's not required to play HD(I played it on 182;damn crashes:p).

184 will have better and more bug fixes than 183 which has more than 182. 182 still works with HD, and a few others do, but it's still very buggy.

So you pretty much unzip the player executable over the build 182 version (assuming you have 182 installed). That's all there is to it. If you wish to keep the 182 version player for debug purposes, you can always rename it beforehand like I did. The player doesn't care what it's filename is called and it uses the same save files and settings and everything.
