the cats are a little scared of him cuz he's so energetic, but they're slowly adjusting. he's the first puppy i've ever had, and i'm just absolutely taken with him. i think moon unit was about 6 months old when we got her and rosie was just over a year old.
spike seems completely comfortable here already. he hops up on the futon with me as soon as i lie down and curls up against my stomach. it's so cute i just can't stand it.
the only real bummer (besides not being able to take all the puppies home) is that with all this snow it's damn near impossible to try to housetrain him right now. as soon as some of the snow melts i think he'll pick it up really quickly. right now, he's going on a piddle pad in one spot in the basement almost every time. he's only had one accident since we brought him hime. but if i try to take him out, the snow's deeper than he is tall. it's kinda funny, but i feel bad for him. he's trying so hard and he's so smart.

Large breed puppies are awesome because of their huge paws and oversized ears. Does he pick things up and thrash around with them yet? It's hilarious.

Border collies are the best dogs ever! I used to have one Jack, but he's dead now...he was such a cool dog, and from the looks of it yours is gonna be as well.

god, i hope so. but it's not looking promising...he's got this big stupid smile on his face all the time. i dunno where i've gone wrong...
