So, today I bought, and built my brothers computer at frys, here are the specs:

Asus a7v8x kt400 motherboard w/ 2 year warranty
Amd Athlon 2400+ cpu w/ 1 year warranty
256mb DDR memory
Western Digital 80gig hard-drive (8mb buffer)
48x18x48 speed burner
16 speed DVD drive
Creative 5.1 speakers
Cool-looking case (I wish I had a picture)
Brand new 17" monitor.

All for about $950-1000. :)
Also, today frys agreed to exchange my broken motherboard, Even though it is no longer under warranty. So yea, I'm in a good mood.

The real question I have is, does anyone know why we can't play LAN games together? We've tried both WC3 and UT 2003, and both don't show the other persons games. We have the typical 4-port Linksys Router (which I've used for Lan games before) and we can both connect to the net fine, we just can't play LAN games. Also, when I try to send files to him on AIM, it won't let me and AIM says something about being behind a different firewall. This really doesn't make sense to me, and its killing me because I can't wait to kill him in wc3. ;)

Also, if it means anything we both have XP, he has the gigabyte LAN version of his motherboard, and when I go into network options in the control panel, there are two different network things setup. I've tried disabling one at a time and it doesn't help.

Please help me out!
