I have downloaded PHP Nuke and I wish to try it out.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to install it. The directions are for a linux platform only.

I simply can't upload all the files after unzipping it. There are too many and it crashes my FTP program. I have uploaded the .tar (similar to .zip). Is there any way I can unzip it on my server?

Can anyone help me figure out how to install php nuke? Does anyone have any experience with this?

You need to have some sort of database set up, I know that much. My friend set up postnuke (like PHP Nuke, it's Open Source), on our Linux Club site. He said it was pretty easy after he got the database name and password from our web server provider.

Wish I could help you out, maybe someone else around here can help?

Right, I am familiar with database management.

I'm just curious why I can't seem to just upload all my files at once. I think it has something to do with the directory tree being too deep.
