Metroid Prime HELP!!

I'm in the Phazon Mines and there is a boss I can't figure out how to kill. No weapons work on it and I can't scan it. Its in the Central Dynamo where I believe you get the power bombs. It looks like two blue balls and a red ball in the middle...but they are all energy looking and crap.

It's a cloaked sentry drone (I think that's what it's called). Just shoot the red ball with the Wave Beam and you should be fine.

EDIT: You may want to put on your Thermal Visor to see it a little better.

I think WaveBuster is supposed to be really effective against that. I forget though. Give it a shot.

A much easier way is to charge up your power beam, and wait until you see the little electrical currents fo the cloaked sentry, when you see them, launch a super missle at it and it will die in one shot!

Yes, use the wave buster if you have it. No aiming, no timing. Just charge it up and fire.

Oh, and if anyone else having trouble with this mini-boss, the wave beam pretty much makes it stand in one place, use the thermal visor or x-ray visor (I can't remember which) but once you can see it fire away at it, don't charge up, just keep firing at it. It won't move that much, because the wave beam is suppose to clog up mechines camera's, or something like that./

Just so you know, you can't scan it. I lost an entire life making sure of that.
