One of the few quests I'm anxious enough to want to play through =)

First reply. It's the topic right above this one.

Yeah I saw that, but when you visit the folder and DL the file it says "PUBLIC" indicating that perhaps it's a "public" demo or some such thing.

No, it's public because it was no longer a private beta.

DoY was completed in the sense that everything that is going to be in the game is there, and you can finish it and all that. There are still a few bugs here and there, and it really only works with ZC version 152, but yes. It was completed last August.

It would be nice if it were bugtested, but although many of the bugs are annoying, it isn't anything that will kill your game or seriously impede your progress.

actually there is a guy in the ruins area in the swamp (excavation?) that tells you the route through the lost hills, and it can lock up your game, because he keeps repeating his dialogue over and over again.

Yeah, which you can easily save yourself out of. I'm talking about bugs that impede your progress. A wall that's supposed to be bombable but isn't. A crucial cave with a dead warp (there are some like that, but none of them are neccesary), and things of that nature. Regardless of all the bugs, DoY is awesome, and I'm sure you DC will be happy with it, buggy or not.

And since 152 is now lost in time, all of the S-bomb locations now give you very weird results, like a dungeon corner or something. So if you find somewhere that you need to superbomb, don't hesitate to ask what was behind it. One of the places on getting the L3 sword had to be S-bombed. But thankfully, you don't need an S-bomb to get to the actual location. But the L4 sword, you do. (rats.) And most importantly of all, the wand is totally inaccessible in 163.

If the wand is inaccessible, the quest IS uncompletable in more recent versions. I may end up updating the game once DN has 2.0 released... but dont expect that to happen for another year or so. For now, get ahold of 152.

When this happens, I can't wait to see the new ideas you will have for it, as new items are being implemented into Zelda Classic. I can bugtest it again, and hopefully get into the spirit of finishing my DOY Walkthrough. BTW, did that Quest Contest ever happen?

heh, if so, then Hidden Duality is gonna be my submission. (unless I get my next quest done and NOT Triforce Knight)

Lemme know if you would like any info appended, and as for the contest if it is still on it would be held at ZCN as that's where Cyclone is so if your curious I'd suggest an annoying petition at ZCN to get his attention ;) ;)

Dont hold your breath over that, Zeldafan. But I might have some other work for you in the near future.

Oh, and thank you for posting the quest, DC. I will see about posting a copy of beta 152 at my briefcase in case any n00bs wanna play it.
