View Full Version : half life: CS probs

when i try to install CS and it's copying pak0.PAK, it gives me a 1/0 error everytime and i can't continue the installation. has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

What are you using to install CD? The retail CD, download, or Steam? My only advice is to try a differant method to install it.

i thought you only unpacked pak files in the, erm... "acquired" version :mischief:
i don't think it'll work. check some FAQ places at valve or something and see if they have solutions.

Why would you bother to "acquire" a piece of software that is freely up for download?

because i don't have half life and the you can only download a patch that installs CS. i just bought half life with counter strike included. i didn't see half life on the shelves. so i don't have an other way to install it.
