Nead help with Link's birthday quest

I am not able to find the whistle in level 4. Anyone here know were it is? Thanks.

From the start go north, north, west, north, north. This is the room it is in but I don't remember how to access it.

I can't seem to find out how the heck to get to the Western Tower. I think there is a rock blocking my path.

(Its kind of hard fighting bad guys in level 6 with nothing but the first sword and 2 life bottels) Also were is the blue tunic????? Thanks for all the help.
