Personally, I do make some of them myself...or rather, I would. If I could only find a great free MIDI maker! :P Makes the quest more "Yours" and more original. :)

I can't sequence a sandwich let along any sort of music.

I don't make quests. I gave up on that long long ago in a galaxy far far away. I was just never any good at it :shrug:

But, I do write all my own stuff (sometimes I rewrite existing tracks, other times I'll release originals). Both Midis and MODs for anyone who wishes to you use them in their quests (I also throw out mp3s every now and then as well). Aside from a select few folks who pretty much get it all, I don't make everything public.

Just click the sig link if you want any of the public ones ;)

I don't have a very good MIDI sequencer, but still I do some of the music for my game myself. If I just would find a better one, I could do all the music myself...

I just mess around with Midis other people made. I probably couldn't make my own if I tried...

Well, I would make my own, but I can't afford the equipment. Otherwise, I'd make MIDI versions of my favorite MP3s.:D

back in the day when I had a copy of Cakewalk 9 on my comp, i composed most of my questing music (to quests that were never released :sweat: ) but now, if i had an IT tracker, i'd do it. I guess I'm more interested in making good quests that I don't write my own music.

was wondering if I can request a hermit to be a part of my quest design team and compose music for my next quest. :)

Not a problem hon ;)

Technically, you are "On Top" already anyway, so that works out fine :tongue:

So what is an IT anyway? Is it ZC-specific, and where would I get something to make them with?

"IT" is a MOD file format (S3M, MOD, IT, XM)

S3M = Screamtracker
MOD = generic
IT = Impulse Tracker
XM = Uh... I don't remember which tracker this goes with

Yes.... Yes I do....

A couple. But there's a lot of MIDIs that I've made .... Which is NOT in quests....

.................... WHY NOT ADD SPC SUPPORT!?!?!?!?!?!?! ...............

It's XMI support that I'm striving for. :shakeno:

I've made a few beeping noises, seashore noises, and totally blank noises for when they're needed, but nothing else. I've modified them to remove the "orchestral hit" sound. Other than that, I've got no real experience at making midis.

XMI support? What's XMI?!

But dont you understand?!? SPC's are SNES orig. Music! You can just save it with ZSNES! Totally simple! USE SNES MUSIC!! THE REAL stuff! -That must be implemented! So easy to make SPCs!
