View Full Version : Introduction in Overworld

I have a question regarding the Introduction in Dmap 0 (Overworld).
Link will freeze in the game then I have to press continue and everything is as per normal.
In the dungeons, there is no freezing.
How do I ensure Link can move after the introduction in the Overworld?
I made sure there are no enemies.
In addition, how do I create an opening scene and link it to the Overworld?

If you want to have an opening screen, or an opening cutscene, you just use the first map for the cutscene, and warp Link to the map that you have your overworld on afterwards. You can use conveyors and sidewarps to automate the switching from screen to screen.

To restart Link on the overworld after the player saves (skipping the starting cutscene), check the "Continue Here" box on the overworld's Dmap.

As far as Link not being able to move...enemies shouldn't be a problem...are you sure your ground is walkable? Press W to show walkability on the screen (in Zquest)--red is for solid, unwalkable tiles, walkable tiles will stay the same when you press W.
