I know there aren't a lot of sports fans, let alone sports die-hards here, but...

Did the Eagles just pull the biggest choke job or what? Tampa Bay defense, schmefence. The Eagles offense should have started flinging the ball about ten minutes before they actually did.

God damn that pisses me off.

Oh well, maybe next year...

Edit: They just showed that Nike Shox commercial again. Now I feel better.

i saw the last half. pretty depressing, especially that interception for a TD when they had been on tampa's 10!
so it's going to be the bucs vs. oakland/tenessee (pick: titans) in the bowl.

I was rooting for the Bucaneers. The Bucs simply dominated on defense and got the job done on offense.

I don't follow football, but we have a Super Bowl party every year for the fun more than the football. So, um, go Green Bay!

Yeah damnit...I had the flyers picked in a pool as well...

McNabb was useless ;)...Tampa just shut them down....Oh well....go oakland.

I hate the fuckin' Raiders (and not necessarily because they beat the Eagles in Super Bowl XV, I was too young to remember that). Go Titans!

Actually believe it or not I like the Bucs and will be rooting for them in the Super Bowl. When they're playing any team other than the Eagles I will generally root for them. They're still the lovable losers in the puke orange uniforms to me.

Besides should the Bucs win it will kinda sorta vindicate the Eagles.

I feel your pain, Alpha. That game sucked and the Eagles definitely could have done better than that. *sigh* I'm tuned in to the the Raiders/Titans game and the Raiders are ahead 24-17 with about 4 minutes and 38 seconds to go in the 3rd quarter

I decided to check this thread again, and I couldn't help but laugh at Alphadawg's new avatar. :lmao:

You think thats bad? Panthers havn't had a good season since their second.

EDIT: Although the fact that they were 7-9 this season isn't too bad. I mean, we might even make playoffs next year and people were predicting 3-13

That's not even the half of it. The Detroit Lions have been shoulder-high in crap ever since Morningweg became head coach. Can you say no victory on the road for two years?

EDIT: Heh. 3-13. That's where the lions ended up. Last year they were 2-14 and they were winless for about 11-12 games.

Heh heh, I knew a post like this would be here when I dropped in.

Hey, Alpha, your Eagles got to the Final Four, which is more than can be said for the dozens of other, less successful football teams out there. I might actually watch the Super Bowl for the first time next weekend, even though my base is college sports. I love the new avatar, the white spray paint is a nice touch.

Well, I'm glad TB won because of the simple fact that their complete and utter shutdown of the 49ers (who in turn, made complete and total a**es out of my Giants  ) made me want them to win it all. Oak vs Philly would have been really nice though.

Nevertheless, I think Philadelphia should've done a lot better. The only time they played reasonably well was in the first quarter, and their only moment of glory was the first 20 seconds of the game (hey, 27-10 is better than 27-3).
