I don't buy or play m games. Besides, they never card me anyway when I "shop" for them online.

well, you're suppose to...thats only because those guys that have to card you get jumped on by angry parents when they found out you sold a M rated game to their kid....

They do not care what game you play, thats your buisness.

In fact. I was there when a manager got screamed at and jumped on for selling Smack Down Shut Your Mouth to her son, when it was only rated Teen. How was she suppose to know how old the kid was, and the father was there when he bought it. The woman couldn't do anything but stand there and say "I understand", while the woman jumped down her throat, because its against her policy. I felt sorry for her.

Yeah it's not the store's responsibility. It's only required to check age when selling Rated R movies. I've worked at Gamestop and SamGoody, it isn't really required to check, but it's a good idea to ask anyways if they look pretty young. Unfortunately you can sometimes make an ass of yourself asking someone who just looks young.

I wasn't carded when I bought Doom 64, which is my only M rated game so far. I was 14 at the time, although the guy at the front desk asked me if I've played it before. Thankfully, I did.

At the Bestbuy around here they do, but at Software ETC, they'll sell any game to anyone heh, but yet you have to be 16 or older, and have an ID, and give them your phone number, to sell them a used game, and they still fuckin rip you off.

Hmm....about 50% of the time, but now I'm old enough to buy M rated games and R rated movies. 6 more months and I'll be a legal adult, but I still won't be old enough to drink. I think that law is kinda gay, but if someone wants to drink that bad they will find a way.

Only M-rated game I've bought is Half-life, and I was only with my friend and i wasn't stopped. Now that i think of it, they recently did a John Stossel's "Give Me A Break" on how easy it is for minors to get M-rated games. I think Wal-Mart and Best Buy were the only one that stopped the ten year old. Doesn't Bother Me :D

i was carded when i bought Perfect Dark a couple of years ago. I had just turned 17, and didn't even think about it. Thank goodness for that. btw, this was at Target, and the only time.

Only time I've been carded when buying a M-rated game was when I bought System Shock 2, just after my 17th birthday. I haven't been carded since. Odd.

I have not been carded, but the only games I've personally bought are not rated M.

This happened to me when I tried to buy Soul Reaver. So I went to a different store found a game, luckily for me the M rating was a sticker over a teen one. So I peeled off the M sticker and bought the game :D

I rarely even buy games when I'm by myself, I usually have my mother with me. But, the few times I bought games by myself, I think they were Teen. How old do you have to be to buy M-rated? I've heard all 16, 17, and 18.

M Rated games say Age 17+, i.e. 17 and up.

Cool_link, if you are bidding on Ebay, you have to have a credit card to have an account, therefore you are just bidding on your parents account, so they are expected to monitor anything you do with it. If they fail to do so... it's not ebay's fault.
