ok.. every frame is a tick, so roughly 60 frames a second. After this time is up, the side warp is activated. That's all there is too it.

Its great for introductions and cut scenes.

Yeah. It's also great for those scenes where you get stuck, like if you fall into a pit, and arrive on a scene designed to deal the necessary amount of damage to you, and it would automatically pluck you out and back to somewhere else. I love timed warps. If only there was a timed pit warp.
