slash question

just a dumb question about the new slash sword technique...does it actually offer any advantage? is it a stronger attack than stab? are there things that can only be "slashed" as opposed to "stabbed"? just curious. haven't messed around with it too much yet...kinda overwhelmed with everything else. any know?

It's pretty much for neater effect and broader range. No extra damage done, but you can hit both the tile in front of you and the portion that the slashed sword hits. That's about it as far as I know.

I think there should be a spinning attack/upgrade where he hits in a 1 tile radius all around Link. (perhaps it costs magic and you need to charge your sword first or something)
