how many of you guys play counterstrike or any other mod for halflife?
Ive been playing it a lot recently but havent found a good server i was wondering if anyone knew of any or even if we could get an armageddongames server...

I think that would rule to get a AGN server to play Counter Strike. I play it alot. Not lately though.

I don't play CS anymore myself but I've been playing Natural Selection mod for Half Life. It's a very team based game where you must work together to build and control hives from the alien team. If the aliens have all 3 hives then they have the best upgrades and then they can kick your ass. As a marine if you have 3 hives and can control them until you do research for weapon upgrades like jetpacks and heavy armor you also can win the game.

CS is getting old and boring. Just a little note if you put -32bpp in your CS shortcut you can run it in 32-bit color mode. Looks a little better with it on. ;)

I play a lot of Big Geek of Utah, they only run the pool day maps though.
I just geta list of servers for whatever map I want, and join the one with the lowest ping and amount of players I want.

join any 24/7 server with under about 250 ping. natural selection is cool but for some reason it made all of my mods act screwy so i uninstalled it :/

if you intend on playing a lot of CS then i suggest you download the following maps:
fy_iceworld
scoutzknivez
starwars2 <--- you can fly tie fighters!
fy_pool_day
cs_assault2k <---- more realistic than original assault

Eh, I hate Counterstrike. But that's just my opinion.

I admit counter strike does get boring but in my opinion its really cause you play it so long and wear it out.
And for the server question i wouldn't know but i saw some server with some weired shit, it had giant ticks and huge monsters running around and yes im talking about Counter Strike.
O ya and there was one where you could turn into the chicked from Italy.
