enemy placement flags

If i have a darknut assigned as enemy 1 for a screen, will multiple enemy 1 darknuts appear when i put down more than once enemy 1 placement flags?...in other words, what happens when you put down more than once of the same kind of enemy placement flags in the same room?

The enemy will appear on the first enemy 1 flag the engine encounters. It checks each row from left to right starting on the top row and working down.
