Sidewinder with Zelda and Win XP

I am trying to run Zelda in XP - works fine. However, I would like to use my MS Sidewinder gamepad (gameport - not USB - model). The device profiler software that came with the pad does not work in XP. Any ideas?

Until the pad works with your windows operating system it will not work with ZC. Check microsoft's site. I'm sure the drivers are around somewhere.

Hi...thanks for the reply. The sidewinder sets up in XP fine, just does not work when Zelda comes up. The old device profiler allowed you to set up a profile that loaded when individual games loaded...even DOS based games. I assume Zelda is similar to that. So, if it is working correctly in XP, any thoughts on getting it to work in Zelda?

Oh, you're using the DOS version?
That explains everything. Download the windows version instead.
