What do these Rules do?

In the Rules menu it gives a couple options for "Shadows" and one for Quick Sword. What would these be?

Some enemies have shadows in this version, like tektites, peahats, and, Pol's Voice.

Quick sword, is used so you can stab faster.

Just a little insider though - quick stab applies to the new slash ability, and I haven't found any real difference for normal stab w/o slash.

How do you activate the new slash ability??

you need a room w/ the room type learn slash...then you need to set the sword animation slash sprite for each sword and for link. i have ?: if you learn slash, can you go back to the original sword technique?

Nope.. its just like the 1/2 magic.. you can't 'unlearn' it..

You can also set it in Init Data..
