Does anybody know if a memory card comes with the gamecube system when you buy it? If not, how much does a memory card cost?

I have no idea, but my guess -GUESS- is that it would be $15-30 sold seperately.

Yes, sold seperately for under 30$s. Not sure the exact price. But the actual unit you buy comes with 1 controller, the system, power cord, and RCA hookups.

/me has a Memory Card 59 and wishes he had a 251

No it doesn't. Get a 251.

By the way, Animal Crossing comes with a 59, so don't worry about that.

I have 1 memory card 59 for GC and had only 2 games (till today) and it was more than enough... It's still enough...

I have Smash Bros., Wave Race, Pikmin, Super Mario Sunshine, and Rogue Leader taking up my first 59. I have a second 59 that I bought with Super Monkey Ball, which has that save on it and probably something else. I asked for a 251 for Christmas and have Metroid Prime and Medal of Honor on it. I'll probably be moving most of my game saves to the 251 and using one of the 59s as a backup.
Animal Crossing comes with the 59, and the game uses the entire thing.

I have a 59 I got with the system last year, another 59 that came free with Animal Crossing, and a 251.

The 251 has:

Wave Race, Burnout, SSB:M, Super Monkey Ball 1 + 2, Resident Evil, SA2:B, Eternal Darkness, Bomberman Generation, Super Mario Sunshine, StarFox Adventures, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 0, plus about 30 SSB:M pictures + SMB 1/2 replays on it. It still has 50 blocks left, and that would go up to more than 100 if I got rid of the pictures and replays.

I know one place that you can get a memory card for the Game Cube that has 1000 blocks of memory for you to use and you can get it at Toys R' Us and I think thats the kind of memory card that I would buy and I think that the price is around $20-$22 after tax so I suggest you buy one.
