LONDON (Reuters) - A deadline for adopting a new EU law on copyright protection has passed with just two member countries signing up, dealing a blow to media and software companies beset by unauthorized duplication of their works across the Internet.

You know what I like about you, Alex? You always show where you get your info. It's like you want to give the proper people credit, even when you don't have to.

Bascically, Europe tried to pass a DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) like the one we have in the US. It just failed, which is good for them.

Well, I don't live in Europe or plan on living there, but it sounds good nonetheless. ;)
