http://www.zelda-gaming.com/dls.html
Follow that and Download the 163 files...
"Zelda Classic Version 1.92 Beta 163- Windows
The latest public beta, with only the program files (zelda.exe and zquest.exe). Windows Version"
[ Download ] (http://zelda-gaming.com/zc/zc192b163/zc192b163w.exe)
Zelda Classic Version 1.92 Beta 163- Support Archives
Here are the rest of the files you will need to use Public Beta 163.
[ Download ] (http://zelda-gaming.com/zc/zc192b163/zc192b163s.exe)
Zelda Classic Version 1.92 Beta 163- allegro40.dll
DLL file needed to run the Windows version. Save to your Zelda Classic Version 1.92 Public Beta 163 folder.
[ Download ] (http://zelda-gaming.com/zc/zc192b163/alleg40.dll)
And if you would like to use Z3 sounds look for...
Zelda Classic Version 1.92 Beta 163- LttP Sound Patch
Replacement for sfx.dat which upgrades the game's sound effects to that of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
[ Download ] (http://zelda-gaming.com/zc/zc192b163/sfx.dat)
Now from there you should be able to run sound in windows without the pain in the ass setup to work around.
Let me know if you have any questions.
