I've been checking the reviews of Mortal Kombat, and Contra: Shattered Soldier, and they both look sweet and I can't make up my mind.. I haven't played MK for so long and the new on looks awesome, but on the otherhand Contra is fun to I tried it out at Sam-Goody and it's sweet too, but I only have enough $ for one. which one would ya'll want?

Well, I've never been a fan of the MK games, but I won't say get Contra. I rented it, and was really dissapointed. It's WAY too hard, and not challenging kind of hard, it's pain in the ass, want to break the contoller hard. I know the original contra games were hard too, but at least they were fun.
I'd say get MK or save up for something better.

Buy a MK1 or Contra arcade cabinet instead. ;p I haven't played either the new Contra or MK yet.

Contra? That was one of the easiest NES games. I can beat it witout dying without ever getting the spreader. But it's still very fun, so if the new contra is anything like the older ones, get it.

Which Mortal Kombat are you talking about? Mortal Kombat Advance for GBA? That got really bad reviews. My friend has it, and I tried to play it once, but it was really awkward, esp since I'm used to playing it in the arcade.
Contras a cool game, but once you beat it, there's not much else to it.
I'd say pick a different game to buy.

Hmmm, yeah I guess I did hear Contra was hard, and Deadly Alliance has a lot of replay value too, with being able to unlock new backgrounds, and being able to buy new costumes. Maybe I'll shoot for that.

The new Contra is pain in the ass hard, I'd say MK.
