View Full Version : It's 6:42 in the AM, and no school in sight.

Well, today's a snow day, and we only have maybe 2 or 3 inches!!:D But it's our superintendant's first year, and he doesn't want parents pissed at him.

Unfortunately, I learned there was no school after I had already taken a shower. So I'm up. Anyone else get today off?

School's delayed 2 hours for my sister. My school scedule stays as fucked up as ever.

No, but the part of California I'm in now is too low to get any snow. I heard yesterday on the news one state had closed down schools to bad weather, I wondered what it was like. When I lived in Virgina for a short time, I remember that we would have snowball fights and play on the ice while waiting for the school bus to arrive. It even passed us up one day. Mom wasn't too happy about that.

:laughing: Yeah. It's snowing now. But it's all sticking to the roof. I'm not sure anyone is going to climb up to the roof of the school to get a snowball. :sweat:

Although, :rolleyes: some of the people at my school are.... well.... :shy: Yeah. :sweat:

I like snow.

Where do you live?

My dad's side of the family's in New York, and they'll go to school with 2 or 3 feet, or so I'm told.

it snowed a lot for us after about noon... we've got about 4 inches and it's still snowing pretty hard...

It stopped snowing here around 9am. I can now only hope for a 2 hour delay due to icy roads.

it's not so much where i live(blacksburg virginia) as the fact that it's college

We got off today because 3 inches is the set "closing height", I shoveled a lot with a couple other people (65$ total for a few hours of work), and went off the snowboarding jump we built in our side yard. It's sweet-ass!

I've never had a snow day off, cuz I don't get snow here in the winter, just cold.
