Um... did you check the gigabites?
</stupid mode>

I have absolutely no idea.

Did you try kicking the thing, that got the pop-ups to stop, but I had to get a new monitor.

I'm not sure if this will change anything, but try switching to Nero Express (if you're not already using it). In Nero, there's a button in the toolbar that switches it. I couldn't hurt to try, it might actually work (it probably won't, though). :shrug:

* Ich blinks again.

I don't speak Nero; the guys who wrote it are from West Germany; I am not sure which language that is in though.

Solution: set fire to your hair. Granted it won't help, but do it anyway.

No clue about the log, but is this a new problem?
That is have you been able to make Nero and your sony work befor?
I had problems with them when I first got my CD-burner and found that I had to put the burner on a seperat ribbon connection in the PC.

it could be a problem with the program or your configuration of it... with all the "inappropriate command" and "writers idle" messages. did you change anything, or is this a new thing you got? could be bad.

Reinstall Nero or use a different program to burn. Seems to be software rather than a hardware issue.

I think I might have burned one or two CD's successfully with this config. But it was a while ago.

From what I can tell, some bad shit happened. I'd get that checked out.

I'd second the opinion to try NeroExpress. For some reason, Nero doesn't work for me but Express does.

Silly me, turns out the firmwire update I downloaded didn't work.

*sigh* (goes back to look for 1.1f firmware.

But I think there was something else wrong with it too...I'll check it out.

Well if it works with the old firmware, the problem solved, I guess.

But this is yet another example of logs that can't be understood. I really wish computer logs would all be in plain english, or at least a summary in english.

It says:

Blah, blah, yada, poo.
I won't work for you!

Any questions?

I've always used the burning software that comes with my CD-RW. They usually work best.

AlexMax

And now my 1.1f firmware wont work. Fan-fucking tastic....

Do you have Windows XP? A lot of burning programs don't work with it unless you get the absolute newest versions.. I know Fireburner wasn't working for me for awhile
