View Full Version : ARGH! Ver. 1.83 sucks and I cant get 1.90!

I really need some help (and in more ways than one). Why does version 1.83 of Zquest suck? Allow me to elaborate:

Csets are so freakin' confusing! The hookshot, Boots, Magic mirror, AND Hammer all use tile 0, so I can only have one of the four, except for the fact that tile 0 is used for Heart Containers you already have, so I have to let the Hearts be the corner of the hammer! And, I have about 80 tiles, all of which I use, but when I put them in the Tileset places to replace an old one, ALL tiles of the type that was replaced are erased and the new ones put in their place! It is very frustrating to see an entire ocean unwillingly replaced by a mountain!

If you can't at least help me, then tell me where to get Zquest version 1.90. I will be eternally indebted to anyone who helps me!

ZC is up to 1.92 beta 163 now.

Why can't you get it? If you need a smaller download, I could probably fit each little component onto my files. It may make it easier for you to download, (I know some people have that problem. Me, for example. :rolleyes: :sweat: ) It shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Then again, following Teilyr's link should do you just fine. Always Follow Teilyr. He will lead you well.....

He said he can't get 1.90. Makes sense.. The 1.90 downloads on zc.com are down.

you can customize what tiles the items use. sprite editor.

Quest -> Graphics ->Sprites.

It will take awhile to figure out , but you can do it!

Why does everyone want 190 now?!?!? It is old and it sucks.... According to me.... Use 192 instead! :rolleyes:

'Cause some people can't find the download links, or 163 is too big. Hey, it happened to me once. :shrug:

Anyone with a shred of common sense would figure that Jamie probably went to zc.com, saw the download for 1.90, and assumed that it was the latest version. Then, when he/she couldn't download it, he/she came to AGN in complaint, not noticing the the 163 link at the top of ZC Discussion.

Happens to the best of us. Anger tends to blind people.

Now, can we please let this topic die?

Not yet. I had ZC once.... When it still was called Zelda DX.... I think.... That was a LONG time ago! :)

well to tell u the truth, don;t download 1.92 (163) for windows, download the dos version it runs faster and better, my windows version would not work, it kept sayin "the program as performed an Illegal Operation", and so i found the dos version in some site and it's been runs faster and better than ever, i recommend the dos version over the windows version.
