o.k.
i download the windows version of zc, it kept giving me internal errors and fucking up major time, couldn't save, couldn't open anything.

So i tried using the dos version. that worked. but now i have sound problems. and i don't see the agsetup file. i can't remember which file to edit either. it's been a while since i worked with allegro.

my question is, where can i get agsetup, or what file do have to edit to change my sound drivers.

I know I know! are you using windows XP? if so, get an E drive and put zc on there, but don't install win XP on it, that's how I got mine to work (and for only $80!) :p

I just don't see it. :sb: This beta has caused so many problems with people. We really need the next windows version to be a bit more stable.

It will be. Now shut up about it.

Seriously, why are you so sure. I know you are one of the beta testers, but maybe your computer is better tham some of these other newbies that can't get it to work.

You need to wait untill the the next version, to be sure.

I can assure you that I have the worst computer out of any of the BT's.

450 mhz processor, 320 MB ram, 16 mb vid card. The latest beta runs 60/60, even with vsync on. So hush. :blah:

I have a 350 mhz with 128MB RAM, and I'm a beta tester and some others have slower computers than me (I think KJAZZ, Jigglysaint, and Hypercrash). :blah: I have also tried one of the private betas on a 233 mhz with 32MB RAM (it won't run beta 163), it took awhile to start, but it always ran full speed even on screens with lots of translucent layers. Zquest won't run on that computer though (or at least that beta didn't, maybe newer ones will).

Same here. (Exact!) Except that machine is running ME. And you get no Midis working there. Oh well. But on my PII 300 MHZ 256 MBram, it runs -nearly- fine.

And thanks for the Zip, Teilyr. We all needed that.

Nearly??! I got a P1 200MMX 64MB and 2MB, yes.... TWO MB of VRAM. It runs.... Pretty good.... Kinda slow though.... I wish I could run ZC on my iMac....

So you have problems with midis huh Brit? I remember bring that up in the bug center. I know this is offsubjust, but doesn't that seem like a bug to you?
