I was surfing around and stumbled upon this image:

Wow! That's interesting, isn't it? I wonder who did that to the road sign?

I'm gonna say Photoshopper ;). That image is pretty big compared to the other versions of it that I've seen.

Would using anonymizer in front of the url (making it http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.attrition.org/gallery/signs/leet_haxor_sign.jpg ) get past your school's blocking?

I dunno, I zoomed in on it, and it doesn't look like any of the lights are copied or faked. I think it's real.

And the reason the ones at the bottom are brighter, is just the way those signs are, it looks brighter at certain angles.

I think they just left the sign unattended too long, and someone who knew how to mess with the text got ahold of it.

Yeah, I've noticed that. Happens with those 3 line signs and stoplights.
