Game Making Question

Does anybody know where I can obtain a game making tool that makes games like zelda, but not a zelda base? All i'm looking for is the same style of gaming type of engine, but I can't find one. Its the basic run up and stab em type game style, just like A Link to the Past, but I need your help finding one. Thanks!

Dont know about that, couldnt you just twist zc graphics into a non zelda looking game?

Hmm, that URL does not work. I really think that Zelda Classic wont serve the purpose, but I know something might work that is the same style as ALTTP.

There is something called Zelda 3 clone. It's obviously in the same style as ALTTP.
BTW lynerd, it is closer as it is a clone. :)
Anyway are you looking for something that you program or just an editor?

I just need a game engine like it. I really don't have that much time to find one, considering its a project that I need to get started for another site.

no, its not a studios. In fact, a million people might know about it anyways. LOL... Okay, i'll change the scene a bit. I'm actually not looking for a zelda type engine, but a "STAB FACTOR" game maker. Is their such a thing?

samson, first i don't think you could do a walk around and slash type thig with RM2K. second, you can no longer download it, but as a result they might bring the next one to us(the reason RM2K was up for dl was that they never brought it over)
