Online DOOM? You becha. Just download it, dig up your old DOOM 2 CD (patch it to 1.9 first), and enjoy. Just watch out for the crashes (yes, it does crash more often than you would like it to, but you can usually just rejoin, and they are not system-stability affecting)

Proof that DOOM will never die. Quake has nothing on this, in terms of fun (just watch out for the BFG whores :) )

(And don't forget DWANGO5.WAD. It's the most popular WAD out there.)

I don't have any original Doom cd :( it was before my time...Quake is the game for me.

One of my friends told me of a newer version of Doom developed for Linux from the source code for Doom released by id... prDoom, pbDoom, something like that. I'll have to find out about it.

I have Doom 2 CD but it's a classic single player game instead of multiplayer.

I like D2 as well as quake. But only Quake one.
The others...well #1 is the best

Thats the point DNX. With just the DOOM 2 WAD file, you can play online. The DOOM source was released a while ago, so people came out with 3-d hardware accelerated and windows versions of DOOM, as well as other neat things.
