I got my 6 disc set; it has the National Geographic special, which is very interesting so far. I also got the Argonath book ends; I need to find a place for them though.

It was supposed to arrive at my house on the 23rd-25th. But it arrived yesterday:D I'm so happy. I couldn't wait, and I didn't have to:D .

I came home late last night and I didn't notice the DVD set on the table I didn't even notice this morning or this afternoon, my dad had to tell me it arrived:blah: . That shows how much attention I pay to my surroundings.

That kinda pisses me off that they did that! I already bought the "special edition" when it first came out!! and now they have this "super edition"!!

-how much is the new version?

Oops I meant 5 disc oh well.

The "super" edition is just under $60, like 5 cents under ;) . At least it is that much on Amazon.

It has over 30 minutes of added footage.

"National Geographic"? What's that, video footage of hobbits mating or somthing? Actually, I bet that would sell really well in some social circles. Hobbit porn...

LOL@Jigglysaint. You are funny, I have to admit. And I was wondering the same thing, National Geographic? Do you mean like a fake one where it details all of the inhabatiants of Middle-earth or something?

Actually I don't have a DVD player. There's not even one in my house, but I hope my dad will get one soon. And yes, I do know how much I miss out on, all of my friends have a DVD player and they are always watching outakes, comentary, and deleted scenes.

Not to mention the incredible sound and picture quality that once you see a DVD makes you look at VHS and say "that was crap, why did I ever think VHS was cool?".

The National Geographic is actually more of Tolkien’s background and influences, then at the end it tries to compare Lord of the Ring to saving the rain forest :p . And it also has advertisements for it self like: buy our other tapes, visit our website.

I knew the Special Edition was coming out... it was not highly publicized but I have my sources.
