Mods, if you feel that this isn't the right place to put it, move it.

While waiting for Metroid Prime and Fusion to be released, I was thinking we could go do the secret world hunt thing on the original NES game. You'll need an emulator that has Game Genie support or an actual NES, Metroid game, and Game Genie.

Got that down? Good. Now, here are the Game Genie codes that we will be using...

ALLGKP All items needed to complete the game, infinite life, and infinite missiles
EEXTTY Jump through ceilings
KAPGEI Space Jump
SUPEAI Shoot up to fall through floors

If possible, include a screenshot or two of any secret worlds you find. I'll keep track of them all and try to make maps of them.

Let's get this train rollin.

EDITOU! Here's the first one. I discovered this one years back. Activate KAPGEI and EEXTTY. ALLGKP isn't required, but it will help immensely.

Here's the "enterance" to the secret world. Go down this elevator. It is located at the bottom of the bombable shaft near the very beginning of the game.

Jump through the ceiling and keep jumping until...

...you get to this death trap of a room, in which you will go up the elevator.

You will arrive in the same room, but with the standard Brinstar tileset. Go down the elevator. Yes, the same one you came up on.

If done correctly, the screen will be as shown above. Look around.
