I find it annoying.... What IS the problem? Often when I'm at AGN i get a 404 when I'm posting, and things like that.... I cant understand why.... It never happens on other places.... Is there a way to solve this? Please, (if it is possible) help....

It may be something more to do with your configuration, or something between you and AGN.

It runs slow for me as well, but it may have to do with bandwidth. If lots of people are on the site at the same time, the server is going to perform slower.

One of the more odd occurences I've noticed is that the images for the theme I'm using tend to randomly pick times they just won't show up. I don't know why this happens; it just does.

It's been working fine for me. Goes just as fast as any other site goes when the user is on a 24K dialup connection. :p

There are some people who make other forums and think its a good idea to link all their avatars from AGN's database. You would be suprised at the ammount of bandwith they actually suck up a month. Shadowblazer is working on a way to block such things, he may have already.

I have the same problem. But with the rolling bandwith errors, i don't mind so much anymore.

And you haven't done it yet?
Perhaps you should consider it some more...

DO IT.

But make sure and do a variant of SomethingAwful's Page Too Stupid parody.

Something like You're Too Stupid.

128 bit stupidity.  :lmao:

Yes, AGN can be a slow moving mule, but that's pretty rare for me. BTW Dem, how much RAM do you have? That could be a factor.

Is it possible to make a random 404 thing?? RAM.... That'd be 512....

Just consider the topic you're wanting to read to be a reward for your paitence.

Well Dem, at least your performance isn't the problem.:)

Actually, back on the topic, I've noticeed that with most vB's there is a significant amount of delay going to specific forums, sepecially from the main forum page.

I think it's something about vB, thouogh, and not AGN, since I've experience this at other vB's.
