I try to open my quest, but it says "Error loading (directoty)/ff1.qst
an internal error has occured" just a few days ago, it worked, and I tried re installing it, but it didn't help... also, we had a virus, and my dad said it wiped a few dlls, could that be the problem? please assist!:( :confuse2: :scared: :uhoh:

Is it the DOS version or Windows? I don't think DOS uses any dlls that don't come with it. Also did you try redownloading FF1.qst and making sure the directory exists?

it's windows, and the directory is still on my comp, and ff1.qst is my game, so i can't redownload it. all the .qst files don't work

Maybe the virus somehow changed all your .qst files. You should try downloading a quest and see if it opens. You could also try redownloading ZC.

Have you tried sending your quest to another person, just to make sure you haven't lost all your work? If not, I suggest it.

Send the quest to someone, infact I'd be happy to test the qst file. And maybe your alleg41.dll thing was hit.

Send it to me. I'll just consider it an early beta, since I'm testing the quest anyway. I know you've put a lot of work into this, so hopefully it's not lost. If it is, then I still have a couple earlier demos lying around I can send you, if you're still up to it. Of course, this is all assuming the quest itself is screwed up, which hopefully is not the case.

Well there is a good reason to have beta testers for your quests. =)

yep, ok, mott and starfox, you'll be recieving a .qst soon. also, it's unpassorded so you can see if it works in zquest. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY WORK! I've spent many an hour working to get them exactly right, so please ask if you want some, ok?

also, I tried copying alleg41.dll to my folder, but it wouldn't even let me open zquest

btw, mot, I need your email

Works fine for me. Try redownloading alleg41.dll. Is that the only quest that isn't working for you?

The file I recieved was said to be invalid by ZQ1.92b163.

strange it worked for starfox and not mottzilla, do you both have alleg40.dll? and I can use alleg41.dll, it says I need it to open zquest

well, as it turned out, it changed something when I open it on my c drive, so I have a copy in my e drive, and it works perfectly, wierd I know, but it's true!

I think some games have problems with more than one drive. Try to put it on the last drive. ... unless I've missed something important here.
