Take a look at it; I spent the past 2 days making it.

Spiffy, does it have 100% of all items on it?

I noticed that you didn't label the Nav and Recharge rooms in area 4. Other than that it looks pretty good.

I give it 3 megamans up! http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/nick/smileys/mmeek.gif http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/nick/smileys/mmrolleyes.gif http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/nick/smileys/mmtongue.gif

I was planning on going through the game again, so I'll use this and if I find anything missing I'll be sure to yell at you. http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/nick/smileys/mmbiggrin.gif

Ya, 100% items. Very good map too.

Is that IT?

For some reason, Super Metriod looks like a bigger game than what I am infering this game is making the new Metroid look size-wise.

Super Metroid 3 was a bigger game. I think they should have added some wandering around on SR388 or something... So enclosed the whole game. Too linear.

Yeah, it is very linear. But, it's still a GREAT game

Yea it definitely feels shorter. It only took me about 3 and a half hours. But the fun (at least for me) is to go back after you beat it, and try to find 100% of the items.

Are you guys for real? Metroid 3 feels a whole lot smaller to me than Metroid 4. Someone want to do a screen count from each game (one screen being one "block" on the map) and let us see how they compare? At a glance, Metroid 4 looks smaller but it is actually much more dense, while the levels of Metroid 3 are more drawn out, especially Brinstar.

The one thing I didn't like about Metroid 4 was that the CO practically holds your hand throughout the entire game. You don't have that freedom of exploration that you do in Metroid 3.

A fine job, Glenn. I really what to play the orig. metroid. Do you guys suggest cartrige or rom?

metroid 3: 1,220 screens
metroid 4: 993 screens

Damn, I have no life.

Personally, I liked Metroid 3 better. I didn't like how you were walked through this game, and also how it was segmented off into small areas. Metroid 3 seemed more open and fluid.

Not to say I didn't like 4, but 3 was better IMO.

It's hard to surpass a game of such brilliance is Super Metroid, and to think that it should have been done is short-sighted. MF is a really nice game, and an enjoyable ride, but Super Metroid is just one of those games that can never be surpassed without enough time and effort. Just the fact that MF can be remotely compared to SM in brilliance is an achievement in itself.

Well I don't think ANYONE should suspect that any metroid games after 3 would ever be better than the first 3, as the man that envisioned and created the series is gone now. Who knows what he may have had planned for the series.

Damn, how'd you guys get it? Did ya import it or something? It doesn't come here until the 19th...

It's USA release first so importing would make you get it later. We got it by a rom leak. Someone swiped a copy of the final version and dumped it and released it to the net. Happens all the time.

I find it funny how everyone here has played it and there are already maps being made and FAQs written and the game doesnt come out for more than a week. O and Glenn, awesome map.
