Does anyone know of any classic Final Fantasy style Win XP themes? In lou of that, does anyone know where I can get a generally easy Theme editor as I would like a theme to match my new FF5 style Desktop -
640x480 but double sized (near enough) to 1024x768 (icon spacing V=43 H=35)

It's currently unfished but it's taken from something MSU made.

That's an interesting idea, however I don't use WinXP.

xp is the hardest os to edit anything on :( to do themes in win xp, you have to have some advanced knowledge about registry and file systems...

I have a skinning program called WindowBlinds (http:///www.stardock.com) that lets you skin all windows on your desktop, I use ObjectBar (http:///www.stardock.com) to skin the taskbar and startmenu, and SkinStudio (http:///www.stardock.com) to make skins for the three. The programs are easy on resources, and give me, a win2kpro user, a XP type desktop. Thet're all free downloads and shareware, so you never have to pay to use them (unless you want the "advanced" features).

That kinda sounded like an advertisement, but it's not. I've used these programs for six-months now and have had zero problems with them.

edit: there are also many sites with pre-made skins for the three programs that really look good, and I'm quite sure I've seen a FF theme for at least WB. If you want it, I'll give you a link to a site or two

You could say its hard to edit anything on anything, just to xp its not true. You do not need to know advanced knowledge of registry either.

You can get Style Builder or Res Builder to make themes for Style XP. I do believe that you need to know C/C++ to be able to make your own themes. That is true with WindowBlinds.

Anyone have a full version or serial number for WindowsBlinds? I don't wanna pay for anything cause for some reason they think its a viable product to sell.

I'll try TGsoft, but I know very little C++.

Thanks. :D

Okay, I gots the TGTsoft editor, AKA Style Builder (http://www.tgtsoft.com/download.asp) trail, It lasts for 30 days, but then thats more then enough time to make an FF5 theme.

*looks at all the images he has to change*

I hope.....

Here what I have done so far

Now, if only there was a quicker way to do this....

Well WindowBlinds lets you skin any version of Windows (but works best on 98 and up), and makes it look prettymuch any way you want.

You make your own skins for it with SkinStudio, and no you don't have to know C/C+ to use either one of these programs. It's actually very easy to make your own skins. It's point, choose your bitmap piece, and click.

I could give you a small screenshot of my desktop if anyone wants

Would the skin for Windows XP be AGN Version XP 1.0 or something like that? That looks cool Obi, with the 8-bit.
