Harvest Moon Rocks!!!!!!!

ok, since this game came out for snes, everyone's been telling me how awesome it was. well the other day i decided to download it. and it rocks!!!!!! but i have a few questions.
1.) general hints. like rare stuff to find.
2.)what's with the very top of the mountain?
3.)where do i get the hooked up hammer? i got everything else hooked up
4.)what do the horse and dog do?
5.)how high do the hearts go(in the girl's diary)
6.)when does the game end? is it just one year? or more than one?
7.)what's the fastest you ever got the super deluxe log house? first day of winter they finished for me
8.) what does this thing i got at the egg festival do?

n64 and ps1 actually. and they're making another one soon too i think. can't remember the system but i know its not the x-box.

I think the new one is just being released on Gamecube.

The thing from the egg festival makes it so you avoid disasters

The top of the mountain is important on the last day of the year, depending on which girl you're going for.

There already is a new game for PS2 of Harvest Moon, and a better one is coming out to the cube in 2003.

ok, i got the hooked up hammer. the carpenter borrows it and brings it back better. i think the hearts go up to 10, because i have one girl at 9

I got this d/l awhyle ago and just started it to see if it worked.
Looks good and have herd good things about it, but there is so much to do and I have about 4 or 5 different games in the works I get confused where I'm at in what game.
I relly need to concentrate on Golden Sun. I started that months ago and got real far into it then got sidetracked, same with FF3.
So many games so little time.
