So I've been gone for like a month and a half or something, but it wasn't really my fault.

About a month ago I was chatting away in the AGN chat, but unbeknownst to me, my father walked in the room. He was troubled by the things he saw. It didn't help that Everdred was masquerading as Hitler or that the F word was in at least 5 places on the screen. He said the words "thats what I thought" and tore the Linksys PCMCIA Ethernet card from my dying laptop. "How about we try not using the internet for a week," He said.

I started using my laptop for more functional things over the next few days. Out of the blue my LCD panel went out. I spent the next week dismantling my laptop and struggling to find a problem I could. Needless to say, it was nothing I could fix. I looked into getting a replacement panel for my $150 computer. The price was over $500. I then looked into getting a new laptop, this one is mighty old. However, I lacked the funds neccessary to follow through with such an endeavor. Finally, today I bought a used monitor for $25. I asked my father about the Ethernet card; he asked me about my grades, and he finally gave it to me.

Also note, I was prohibited from the use of the Family Desktop due to a virus problem.

Welcome, My mom was nice enough to tell me to put my computer on the wall facing the hallway so she "Wouldn't have to see what I do" after all, "privacy is important for a teen".

My mom rocks.

Right. Sometimes my parents respect my privacy, other times, they assume I am worshipping Satan and that I will go to hell if they don't stop me.

My parents dont believe in privacy. They think that I should share everything about my life with them, this of course pissd me off so I dont tell them things even other people say. And they got pissed at my grades too. They tried to enforce some bull shit method where I cant get on the computer or watch tv or play video games. I threatened to fail all my classes on purpose (and they know I would) so they let up.

Glad you made it back Rafnul.
What is it like to go a month w/o AGN?
Don't think I could do it.
My addiction is that complete.
By the by, I am the parent here so it's my children that tell me that AGN is bad and will corrupt my soul.;)

My, if that happend, the irony would be sooo stong you could probably taste it.

My PC is in my room, with the door closed you can barely here it.
Granted, I think my parents would do the same thing to me if they saw #AGN, my oh my, would I be screwed....

I have a little 8x4 room with my lego, elctronics, and computer stuff in it. I could hypothetically lock the door, but once I left, my parents would lock it permanently.

Actually, life without AGN is a lot like life with AGN. Either way, I spend most of spare time sitting on my ass. Its just on AGN, I actually am communicating with the outside world(Something my parents will never understand).
