So I've been gone for like a month and a half or something, but it wasn't really my fault.
About a month ago I was chatting away in the AGN chat, but unbeknownst to me, my father walked in the room. He was troubled by the things he saw. It didn't help that Everdred was masquerading as Hitler or that the F word was in at least 5 places on the screen. He said the words "thats what I thought" and tore the Linksys PCMCIA Ethernet card from my dying laptop. "How about we try not using the internet for a week," He said.
I started using my laptop for more functional things over the next few days. Out of the blue my LCD panel went out. I spent the next week dismantling my laptop and struggling to find a problem I could. Needless to say, it was nothing I could fix. I looked into getting a replacement panel for my $150 computer. The price was over $500. I then looked into getting a new laptop, this one is mighty old. However, I lacked the funds neccessary to follow through with such an endeavor. Finally, today I bought a used monitor for $25. I asked my father about the Ethernet card; he asked me about my grades, and he finally gave it to me.
Also note, I was prohibited from the use of the Family Desktop due to a virus problem.
