um

you newer people wont be affected by prunes, its after X amount of days, and you'd have to be here as long at Mak-X to be affected... dont worry about post count, as we've been thru this countless times now...

I believe when some topics were moved to the archive people lost a few posts.

I still have 2 orange stars and 90-something posts will earn me the long-awaited Forum Regular (I reached it in Jan. 2001 and I was one of the first non-moderator people to hit 1,000 falling behind of Glenn the Great). My posts were not pruned and Alucard does not lose posts... except for when I lost half my posts (because of my computer was going SLOW like a snail) and I had about 1,462 posts. Technically I have about 1,633 posts, but if it wasn't for the pruning...

Thank goodness it is faster again. Now I can reclaim 1,000 posts again (I think I was either the second or third non-moderator to reach 1,000). "Darth Cronic's Anime" post was sent to the Anicent Post Shrine, so that may be why some of you may have lost posts. Alucard's post count was left unscathed when some of the posts were "pruned" this month.

I don't think any more posts were pruned since the great prune.

Look at TSA's post count. I some more old posts were pruned TSA's count would have gone back under 10000, and it hasn't.

As for why people lost posts if any has, I don't think Archiving a topic would do it, I think posts there count like they did in their original forums.

I don't see why that happens? Is there a bug in the forums?

Now that you mention it, I thought mine was a little low...

TSA asked me to post this for him in Zelda Headquarters chat...

<·23:24:59·@TheSilentAssassin·> hey
<·23:25:02·@TheSilentAssassin·> somebody go to AGN
<·23:25:06·@TheSilentAssassin·> and in this thread:
<·23:25:11·@TheSilentAssassin·> http://www.armageddongames.net/showthread.php?threadid=63971
<·23:25:24·@TheSilentAssassin·> Tell them that War Lord, before he vanished, fixed the code to unlink Post count to physical posts
<·23:25:40·@TheSilentAssassin·> but when topics are moved to the archives, you lose post count
<·23:25:53·@TheSilentAssassin·> It's a bug
<·23:26:02·@TheSilentAssassin·> Ask an admin to fix your post count

He shouldn't be looking around here!! He's supposed to be gone!! :)

I self banned myself in a fit of depression after someone said something I didn't like towards me. I didn't want to bother an admin with resending me a confermation email, so I just reregistered...against the rules I know, but I haven't been banned yet...

Yeah, the Zelda Theory thread that was in Zelda Temple was moved to Ancient History for archiving.

So Warlord had a fix to detach post count from physical posts? Cool. I hope someone implements it. Maybe someone should PM an admin about it.
