The stars were gone for awhile, and they just came back sometime last night. They really don't do anything except represent your post count and title.

finally... i can see my light blue stars again (i've missed all the other colors since about 700 posts to 2100 now...)

and the colors for names and the title pic for classic black are back too...

YAY! I can see my green stars now! My name is also green in "Who's Online" now.
