Ok, I have a triforce in a room, and when I pick it up, it doesn't go towards my acquired triforce pieces. I tried it in a s. item room also, and it still doesn't give it to me. For some odd reason, I can only get it through cheats. Anybody else have this problem? Got answers? Me need 'em. Please?:)

Is the dmap set with a level # of 1-8?

Yes, it is.
EDIT:It's set to 1. Should I change it?
2nd EDIT: I tried some exp'ing with the level numbers. The dmap I tested the TP on was 1, and it didn't work, so I changed it to 2. I tried this with the other 8 and those worked. Unfortunately though, I can't use those #s. I changed it back to 1 and it worked.

Each dmap number 1-8 should only have 1 triforce each, if you have 2 dmaps with level #1 and each have a triforce, it will probably not count the second one you get.

EDIT: sounds like you got it working, I'll move this to ZC Quest Editor Help since it doesn't really seem like it is a bug, but a problem with how Zquest works.

Maybe that's why.....Thanks for the extra info.:)

Wait a second.....I wonder if DN's planning to have TPs for lv #s other than 1-8? Can it be done now VEL?

I don't think it can be done now. I think the game keeps track of which triforces you have by level numbers, there is an editor in Zquest that lets you pick where each triforce piece shows up in the subscreen and it has a number for each one.

You can change it to require less than 8 pieces - either 3, 4, or 6 - but not more than 8. If you want more than 8 levels, you have to have some non-triforce levels - ie you have to get through the level to get some item you need in another level.

What I meant was could you acquire triforce pieces any on other lvl # except 1-8, and have them show up on the item screen? So far we can't.:(

There's no really good reason to have triforce pieces in your quest at ALL, really. Triforce pieces give you some sort of progress indicator on the subscreen, that quirky little pose Link strikes when he grabs it, the swipe screen, and the triforce pass room.

And, c'ept for the subscreen, it can be all done with Boss fags.

EDIT : Typo preserved because it amuses me.

Well I like triforce pieces, so there.
Who cares if one has TPs in their quest anyway? You're going to end up collecting something, it might as well be something that's familiar to you, and visible in your pocket.:)

I've already collected all the familiar things I care to put in my pocket. Want to see them?

Will it be a penis wrapped in a trillion-dollar bill?

Heavens no. The bill would obscure the fleshy goodness within.

Thanks, but no thanks. I think I have a pretty good idea of what you put in your inventory, and it's not the magic wand......
By the way, my master sword's bigger than yours. j/k

God. The only way to verify that... would be...

God. What have you gotten yourselves into? *runs out of room*

I always thought that this thread was based on the bug that when you got a triforce, it wouldn't appear in the triforce collection screen. EXCEPT, about 1/2 of them did. I had major problems with this in DoY. I Clearly remember defeating all of the nightmeres, but only having 5 triforce pieces. That's why I had to cheat, C-Dawg.
